I suppose that you are interesting in fibers passing through defined-ROIs. if so, you can draw ROIs in the "fiber" tab after fiber tracking. just try it.

  3. The concept of an ROI is commonly used in medical imaging. For example, the boundaries of a tumor may be defined on an image or in a volume, for the purpose of measuring its size. The endocardial border may be defined on an image, perhaps during different phases of the cardiac cycle, say end-systole and end-diastole, for the purpose of assessing cardiac function.

    Hi Shannie,

We use ROIs for two different purposes; one is for fiber tracking and the other for ROI as more general sense to define structures of interest. I assume that you are talking about the latter use. DtiStudio has rudimentary ROI functions under the "ROI" tab, but I recommend you to try our RoiEditor that can be downloaded from www.mristudio.org. This software allows you to define multiple 3D ROIs. There are functions to incorporate the ROIs into DtiStudio for fiber tracking, if you wish. It is a very powerful program.
